Reuse and Reduction Grant Application

PURPOSE OF GRANT:

LRSWMD offers a grant for district member towns up to $500 in support of efforts related to resource reuse and reduction. Click here for the grant information sheet.

USE OF GRANT FUNDS:

The grant program is intended for projects that result in a positive and sustainable social or environmental impact, and address one or more of the following goals outlined in the grant information sheet.

APPLICATION:

Please complete the application form below to be considered for funding. The LRSWMD Board of Supervisors will review applications at regularly scheduled meetings held on the second Tuesday of every month (with the exception of March and April). Applications are accepted on an on-going basis.

Program Narrative

Each proposal must include a narrative explaining the intended use of funding. Applicants must demonstrate a tangible benefit to the LRSWMD’s service area (within one of the 12 member towns) in their proposed grant activity. Narratives shall include the following: -A brief description of the project for which you are seeking funding, including clear, achievable objectives and activities. -A timeline or schedule of grant activities (NOTE - this grant is on a reimbursement basis). -A list of people who will be involved in the project. Please include a brief bio and role for all staff and/or volunteers involved. -A description of your organization or group. Please explain how your organization has the capacity to implement the proposed project. - A plan for sustainability of the project or programs created under the grant including all expected sources of funding. -Benchmarks for success. Please explain how you will evaluate success using measurable results. -Budget justification. Please explain the justification behind budgeted purchases, expected additional funding sources, and in-kind contribution.

Proposed Budget Worksheet

Each proposal must be accompanied by a budget worksheet. Budget information should be presented in the following manner: -The budget should reflect both expenses and any revenue anticipated as a result of the grant. Applicants may combine similar expenses or revenue sources into one line item. -If a line item needs to be explained, please add it to the budget justification in the grant narrative. -If there are resources from other sources than this grant for the same project they should be clearly identified as well as in-kind contributions (time, space, financial) in the

Applicants may provide information that supports their proposal. The decision to add information is left up to each applicant, and such support materials should be concise and directly relevant to the proposal.
