LAMOILLE SOIL & YOUR FOOD SCRAPS

To preserve the integrity of the finished compost that we make at Lamoille Soil, we ask that you please be diligent in only including items from the “Acceptable” list.  

The price for a 5-gallon bucket of food scraps at all LRSWMD drop-off sites is $1.

If you bring your food scraps somewhere else or you have a hauling service, please check with them about what materials they accept.

If you line your home food scrap container with bags labelled “compostable” or “biodegradable”, please be sure that these materials go into the trash. We are unable to accept these items because our compost has been approved for use on certified organic farms by NOFA-VT.
