If the container is plastic, click here for more information. If the container is uncoated paper, it can be broken down for recycling.
If the container is made of paper with multiple layers of plastics, waxes, and/or foil, it cannot be recycled and belongs in the trash. Common examples of multi-layered paper containers include kitty litter boxes, detergent boxes, half-n-half cartons, juice and soup stock containers, and TetraPak containers.
