Appliances are banned from landfill disposal in Vermont. They are accepted at the Johnson, Morrisville, Stowe, and Worcester Drop- Off Locations. If no longer serviceable, appliances can be handled as scrap metal. There is a fee for refrigerant containing appliances such as: refrigerators, freezers, ice-makers, dehumidifiers, and air conditioners.

Appliances without refrigerant can also be taken to the above listed Drop-Off Locations.
