TENNIS BALLS

DISPOSAL INFO

Tennis balls should go in the trash can. Or, even better, you can send them to the Vermont-based RecycleBalls, who will either resell them as dog toys or will grind them up and recycle them to make tennis courts, horse footing, and possibly more products in the future.

COSTS

Regular household trash fees apply.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

According to RecycleBalls, a South-Burlington based tennis ball recycling program that recycles balls from all over the country: “Nationwide, approximately 125 million used tennis balls wind up in America’s landfills every year. That is 20,000 metric tons of methane-producing, near non-decomposable rubber waste.”
