Bulk compost will be available for pick up at Lamoille Soil again in the spring. Hours for pick up will be 8:30am – 3:30pm on Friday and Saturday. Compost is $70/yd3; cash or local check are the only acceptable forms of payment.

Lamoille Soil was created to capture local, resource-rich organic materials to fill a need for processing organics in this region and to meet the requirements of Vermont’s Universal Recycling & Composting law. The processing facility is located in Johnson where a long-dormant compost facility has been repurposed to compost up to ten tons of food scraps a week!

Lamoille Soil uses an aerated static pile (ASP) process to make a high-quality soil amendment. The ASP process forces air through stationery piles creating enough heat to reduce pathogens and kill weed seeds.

Bring us your 5-gallon bucket to select locations and refill it with more compost for $3 any time! Cubic yards ($70) of compost can be picked up at 941 Wilson Road during peak compost seasons. Call 802.888.7317 for pricing and details.
