Motor Oil

When used oil is dumped on the ground or poured down the drain, it becomes a serious pollutant of our ground and surface waters. Remember, if you dump it, you drink it! See also Oil Filters. Residents can take their used motor oil (no other automotive fluids) to the places listed HERE or to a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event. The oil must be "clean" - no water, no antifreeze, no other fluids mixed in. Call first.
NOTE: Empty plastic motor oil bottles are NOT accepted as recyclables and should be disposed of with your regular trash.
