The National Crayon Recycle Program offers a mail-in recycling program for unwanted and broken crayons. They do not need to be sorted and wrappers should be left on.
To further support this recycling effort and keep broken crayons out of landfills, the next time you, your family, or your school need crayons, consider buying Crazy Crayons, which are made from recycled crayons.
You can also reuse broken crayons in many fun craft projects. Check out some ideas here!
If not participating in a special recycling effort or reusing crayons in a project, they should be disposed of in your regular trash.
