Lamoille Waste Warriors Volunteer Over 100 Hours

The LRSMWD is grateful to our Lamoille Waste Warriors who have already volunteered over 100 hours at transfer stations and public events.
The Lamoille Waste Warriors program was created for the LRSWMD by ECOAmeriCorps member, Shannon Choquette who served with us last fall.

We recognize that it can be a bit confusing when trying to choose the right place for your waste. The purpose of this program to have community members answer the questions of other community members to turn that confusion into confidence. Seeing a familiar
face can make it easier to ask that burning question you want answered.

Waste Warriors have been spreading the word in their communities about the new Lamoille Soil residential organics collection program,
helping people better understand what does and does not go into the blue recycling bin, and teaching neighbors ways to minimize waste through reusing and reducing!

To get involved in the Lamoille Waste Warrior volunteer program, or if you are an event planner and could use the knowledge of some savvy sorters at an event, please contact Sujata Gautam, LRSWMD ECO AmeriCorps member at This email address is being protected from spambots.
