composting recycling and trash containers

It Starts Here

Vermont communities play a critical role in implementing Universal Recycling across the state, both as producers of recyclables and organic materials (leaf and yard debris and food scraps) and as ambassadors of the law. Communities are leaders for the success of the Universal Recycling Law. Visit the ANR website for tools and tips! Ask the LRSWMD how we can work with you to make your community successful.

One easy way communities can display compliance to the Universal Recycling law is by ensuring parallel collection of recyclables wherever trash containers are available in all public spaces by July 1, 2015 (except in restrooms).  Visit HERE for other details about what is required of muncipalities for the law.  Fortunately, many of these requirements are met through your membership in the LRSWMD.
